Last Thursday night I had the pleasure of attending the M.A.C Cosmetics Technique Class, which was held in Myer Perth.
The event was a two hour make-up demonstration on how to create the latest make-up trends exclusively from the artist who works backstage at high end fashion shows.
On arrival I received a glass of wine, yummy canapes and a M.A.C technique file to jot down any notes I wish to make during the evening.
The workshop was spearheaded by Carol Mackie, who has 17 years experience working as a make-up artist and is one of the Australian senior artists at M.A.C Cosmetics. Carol has done the make-up on the likes of Gemma Ward, Jessica Gomes and Jennifer Hawkins, just to name a few.
One of the looks showcased during the evening.
Carol explained that one of the biggest trends backstage at fashion shows in regards to make-up, is the skin. Recently more and more models have been donning the ‘no make-up, make-up look’, where they showcase the skin at its best. Love this look!
Later on in the evening, I had the chance to purchase some new M.A.C products….Of course I did! What is great about the M.A.C Technique classes is that they are redeemable on product.
The products I purchased on the night.
I purchased the mineralize skinfinish in soft and gentle, the natural radiance primer, prep + prime in light boost and the casual colour lip and cheek in have a lovely day.
All these products shown in the picture are available in store and online http://www.maccosmetics.com.au/.
- The M.A.C Technique class is $120 and redeemable on product.
I definitely recommend going to the next class to get some tips on the latest make-up trends and bring your girlfriends along for a great girls night out!
