I can’t believe it’s already the end of August and we’re more than halfway through the year! Anyhow, I decided to compile a list of my favourite beauty products for the month of August, something I haven’t done in a while.
I shortly realised that all my current beauty favourites are from the drugstore or the pharmacy. Which just goes to show you don’t have to fork out heaps of money for beauty products.
My favourite and most used products of the month include;
Designer Brands ‘BB’ Cream:
I recently wrote a blog post about this very product (which you can read here: https://goo.gl/EQPr1a) and I’ve been wearing it all month because I love it so damn much! Priced at only $12.99, this product has good coverage, with skin treating benefits and is so affordable.
Designer Brands Clear Mascara/Eyebrow Gel: I recently ran out of eyebrow gel and on a whim decided to purchase the Designer Brands clear mascara/eyebrow gel. There’s not much to say, it’s clear, non-sticky, and keeps my eyebrows in place all day. The product is also the same size as a mascara and priced at only $8.99. Now that’s a bargain!
Neutrogena Oil Free Moisturiser for Sensitive Skin:
When I ran out of my usual moisturiser at the beginning of the month, I decided to try out the Neutogena oil free moisturiser after I read good reviews online. The moisturiser is fragrance-free, alcohol-free, hypoallergenic and it won’t clog your pores. The product is priced around $14 and is extremely similar to the Dermalogica Active Moist, at only a fraction of the price.
Real Techniques Make-up Brushes:
I purchased my very first Real Techniques brushes this month. I’ve heard really positive reviews about these make-up brushes from make-up artists to everyday women. I bought a pack of three online that contained a fan brush, a contour brush and small tapered brush. I’ve only been using these brushes for a couple of weeks but I’ve been loving them. They’re definitely in line with other brands like, Sigma and M.A.C, in terms of quality. What’s fantastic about these brushes is that they are a fraction of the price!
Simple Micellar Cleansing Water:
Those of you who have been following me for a while will know that I absolutely love the Simple micellar cleansing water, I think I’ve even mentioned the product in a previous favourite post. The cleansing water is designed for sensitive skin and contains multi-vitamin ingredients that gently removes make-up. I use this product everyday to remove my make-up and it does the job really well without stripping my skins natural oils or drying it out.
Batiste Dry Shampoo- Cherry Flavour:
My hair gets oily pretty quickly, so it won’t surprise anyone that I go through dry shampoo like there’s no tomorrow! I love Batiste dry shampoo because it smells great, it actually works at soaking up the oil, and it’s extremely affordable. I also use the product to add to my hair line before I go out, to give my hair some volume.
